The Buckeye Institute has been around for a while, but in recent years they have begun to expand at a frightening rate. Their staff and budget have both grown, making them an even larger threat to hard-working people in Ohio.
The Buckeye Institute started in 1989 with one person. Their budget and number of staff have increased greatly, stepping up the rate of growth in the last decade. They now have 17 staffers, including former Ohio House Speaker William Batchelder, a far-right conservative Republican from Medina, with a multi-million dollar annual budget. Their attacks have become more aggressive, and they are still growing.
